Launceston, Cornwall
Launceston — the ancient gateway to Cornwall — is well within my home-visit area. I bring the same calm, unhurried ear care to Launceston homes that my Bude clients rely on, with evening and weekend appointments to suit you.
From the streets below the castle to the newer estates and the villages out towards Egloskerry and Tregadillett, I’m happy to visit.
I’ll talk you through everything before we start, show you what’s going on inside your ear with a small camera, and check you’re comfortable at every step. Most people tell me it’s far easier than they expected — and if there’s no wax to remove, I’ll say so and you’ll only pay the smaller fee.
I’m a fully mobile service — no clinic to travel to. I bring everything I need and come to you, with evening and weekend appointments available.
A gentle, controlled flush — the modern, careful version of old-style syringing.

Most people find it very comfortable and well-tolerated. With microsuction there’s no water and no poking; you’ll hear a soft suction sound, that’s all. I check you’re comfortable at every step, and we go entirely at your pace.
Microsuction is widely regarded as the gold-standard, gentle method for removing ear wax, and I’m trained and insured to carry it out. I always examine your ears first and only proceed when it’s the right choice for you. If I think you’d be better seen by your GP, I’ll tell you honestly.
Yes. I cover Bude, Holsworthy, Launceston and the surrounding areas for home visits, with evening and weekend appointments available. I bring everything I need with me. If you’re not sure whether you’re in my area, just ask.
£70 for one or both ears. If I look and there’s no wax that needs removing, it’s just £30. You’ll never be charged for treatment you don’t need — if your ears are clear, I’ll tell you. Payment is on the day, and there’s no extra charge for me coming to you.
Soften the wax beforehand for the best results. For 3–5 days before your appointment, put a little olive oil or Earol spray in each ear, two or three times a day. This makes the wax much easier and quicker to remove. Don’t use cotton buds — they tend to push wax further in.
Yes — I’m told I’m especially gentle and patient with little ones, and home visits are one of the things older and housebound clients value most. I’ll show children the camera and the ear model so it feels more like show-and-tell than a procedure, and we never rush.
Then you’ll only pay the £30 check fee — never the full price. I’d always rather be honest than treat ears that don’t need it. One client brought her children along; their ears were clear, so I only charged for her own treatment.
You can book online in under a minute, or call or text me on 07539 663189 if you’d like a chat first. I’ll confirm your time and send a reminder of how to prepare.
